Now you can have whatever sidebar layout you need for each individual page. Choose from eight different sidebar layouts. All of the new page templates have the sidebar option and there is even a new generic single page for adding the sidebar of your choice to any new page you create.
Horizontal Navigation Mods
There are two modifications that you can make to the horizontal navigation bar. You can add either a search box or you can social icons (or any other image that will fit).
You can even give the box some negative margin and push it up into the header area for a more dramatic effect…
Or go crazy and add even more images…
Read More Link
Change the Read More link to something more meaningful to your site…
You can even add an image to use for the Read More link…
Custom Header & Background
Besides the WordPress built-in custom header image and custom background, I have now created the ability to use a custom header image that does not use the Featured Image function. What makes this a great feature is that now you can have a different header on each page or post even if you have a header image with rounded corners.

New Widget Areas
Some new widget areas have been added. There is now a Home Page Left & Right. This is used on all of the page templates. It’s great for adding an image slider or whatever else you may need. You have the option to make the Home Page Left Widget 100% or split it 66%/33% between the right and left widgets. All of the page templates also allow you to position this widget area above the sidebar/content to span the full page width.
Two additional widget areas have been added to the Top and Bottom Widget areas. The Top and Bottom areas can be turned off on a page/post basis and they can also be positioned above or below the sidebar/content (full width).
Here’s what the widgetized area configuration looks like on the page templates…

Now you can use the WP Custom Menu for you footer links. Just create a custom menu and assign it to the footer. In your Theme Options remove the links and put whatever other text you would like. No more trying to figure out the HTML link codes.
Change Sidebar Configuration
Now you can change the sidebar location and configuration on every page or post. Each page/post can have a different configuration. The following selection box will appear on the right side of the page/post edit screen.
Below are example’s of the various magazine layout styles….
Magazine #1 Page Template Example
The image on the right shows you all of the options that are available.
Since the meta information is saved with each page you can use the page template with an unlimited number of pages. With each page having different options set. The variable sidebar options also appear on the right side of the page edit screen.
This content area can be turned on or off. A slider script can also be turned on before or after this main page content area.
The template properly paginates and does not show the content area on subsequent pages. It also fixes the WP issue with not properly paginating a page template when set as the home page.
